Who We Are

Bridging Ancestral Wisdom Traditions with modern healing to provide sacred spaces for soul transformation and dedicated stewardship of the Earth.

Who we are

We are a plant sacrament church with Sanghas across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

Earth Temple was founded in 2014 by Athena Naia, a Mestiza Maestra who spent many years training extensively in the Amazon with Shipibo elders.

Our spiritual foundation is a weaving of ancient wisdom traditions and a contemporary understanding. Our roots draw from the animist and shamanic worldviews of the Shipibo people of the Amazon and the Wixárika people of Mexico, and other cross cultural earth honouring traditions. Alongside Christian mysticism, Kriya Yoga, Buddhism, science, and evidence-based practices that support a meaningful and purposeful life.

Our work is centered on supporting the evolution of consciousness through contemplative practice, community, prayer, and communion with sacred plant sacraments.

We encourage our members to cultivate a direct relationship with the divine, live with integrity and purpose, deepen their relationship with themselves and the Earth, and embody love through service to others.

Adam & Olivia

Adam and Olivia’s love story began when they met on an Ayahuasca retreat, both immersed in a dieta. They each quietly took note of the depth with which the other approached their practice. They met for lunch a few weeks later and fell in love shortly thereafter.

Blessed by Athena to serve as a Curandero in addition to being ordained as a Zen monk in the Light Lineage of the Buddha, Adam carries two interwoven wisdom streams that shape his unique way of serving others. His work braids plant medicine and Zen into a living, luminous path that some have come to call “Zen-ahuasca.”

His devotion moves through everything he offers: his Icaros, his guided meditations, and the healing energies that work through him. People often describe feeling inspired to deepen their own practices just by being in his presence.

In addition to private and group sits, Adam is available for shamanic tune-ups, remote dietas and meditation support.

You can think of Olivia as a wilderness guide for the psyche. Trained as a therapist and shaped by years of her own trauma recovery and thirteen years of medicine-path initiations, she holds a field where the unseen becomes felt, and the inner terrain becomes navigable.

As a devotee of the divine mother and the rose path, her work is rooted in seeing incarnation as a sacred experience designed to open our hearts through the gateways of embodiment, impermanence and intimacy with life and each other.

Olivia is the founder of The Essential Self and works with individuals and couples to gently dissolve old patterns and meet our lives with greater compassion and love. She also offers guided 1-on-1 journeys with other plant medicines. Olivia is available for both short and long term counseling, including embodiment work, emotional alchemy and preparation & integration sessions to help you receive the most benefit from your medicine practice.
